Client Critiques
Following years of not getting a food processor, finally broke down and bought this one. I'd made do with a stand mixer, blender, mortar and pestle, and knives. Not certain why I waited so long to purchase 1, but am pretty glad I did.
The 750 functions as advertised. It has a effective motor, the numerous cutting blades carry out nicely.
The causes for giving the product four stars as an alternative of 5 are:
1. The lid does not seal particularly tightly so when processing liquids, there is a fair quantity of leakage.
2. The mini-bowl is quite handy and handles compact amounts superior than if they had been place in the larger bowl but, there is frequently some leakage into the most important bowl.
These are minor problems and should not discourage any one from purchasing this machine. In spite of this, the new 760 model seems to have lots of way more characteristics for just a small bit way more money. Before obtaining the 750, you will need to check to see if the 760 greater meets what you need.
This is a wondeerful food processor with a potent and quiet motor. There is one odd function that is not fairly clearly mentioned about the amount of restricted liquid this unit can deal with and must be nicely understood just before one buys this device. 1st you will not be able to put much additional than two inches of fluid, 4 cups(32 ounces)due to the brief center shaft which is only 2 inches that holds the blade in the key cavity. This is a design limitation that could have been overcome with straightforward mechanical engineering by making use of the complete height of the cavity which is 5 inches. Instead of using a longer center shaft developed to slide the little function bowl on,the Kitchenaid engineers utilized a short two inch shaft. This in turn severly limits the height of fluid in the main mixing cavity to 2 inches(4 cups), given that fluid leaks out of the main cavity more than the short two inch center shaft that holds the processor blade. Unfortunately, this essentially makes the 12 cup a 4 cup food processor for items with fluids envolved. This equates to a 67 percent capacity redution. There are other models out there that overcome this limitation by utilizing a center shaft that has a height that is equal or slighty less than to the cavity height. Why Kitchenaid created this poor engineering choice is realy 1 of those engineering mysteries. Due to the fact every thing else on this machine is highly engineered. Some items basically just do not make any sense and this most definitely is one of them.
Hopefully, Kitchenaid will redesign the most important cavity with a taller center shaft and get rid of this significant liquid limitation.
