I've been working with this mixer for more than one particular year now and have no complaints. I bake element time and use it nearly each single day. UPDATE 1/13/2012: The original silver paddle attachment has tarnished soon after a brief time even even though I hand washed it. I located this paddle on Amazon and it is far superior to the a single Kitchen Help delivers. It scrapes the bowl so there is no additional sticking a spatula in the mix whilst the mixer is on! It was so astounding, i ordered a second paddle. Best part, you can throw them in the dishwasher. As for the metal paddle from Kitchen Aid...I threw it away without regret!
Mixer nonetheless runs perfectly. I've most likely put to use it no less than 300 instances in the last two years.
