Although I believe this is rather high in price, it does what it is supposed to do and I think it is worth the funds. I am purchasing one other one for my daughter. The a single complaint we have about the Kitchen Aid mixer is stopping to scrap down the bowl. With the bowl-lift this is not especially easy or quick to do because the beater is in the way. The SideSwipe makes the scrapping of the bowl unnecessary. It operates awesome!

I'd initially learned about this item when going to my mom in Florida. We had stumbled upon a little kitchen provide shop in town and they had been carrying them alas, they were out of the size I necessary...thank goodness I found them on Amazon.com!
