At present all the evaluations on Amazon are for the Artisan series mixers, most likely due to the fact of the extra 25 watts of power over the Ultra series. I got my beloved Empire Red Ultra from my sister, in brand new situation, since she got tired of my continuous admiration (in fact, covetousness)of it each time I came to go to her. She happens to be a highly busy working mom who doesn't cook and bake as considerably as I do, so she sold it to me at her price, and I believe she now regrets it! At any rate, on to my evaluation...
Initially off, let me say this child is HEAVY...at almost 25 lbs. I don't move it around extremely a lot. It stays in its designated space on my counter, and I do not even Try to shop it. I'm disabled, and just don't have the physical strength to tackle that. Even so, its weight is one of the a number of advantages of the machine, when mixing heavier items such as bread and cookie doughs. It undoubtedly saves me a lot of hand and arm fatigue a hand-held mixer is out of the question for me. It has plenty of power, and conveniently mixes 2 loaves' worth of bread dough with minimal bogging. The only issue that I would strengthen upon is I would add a way to retailer the cord neatly but that is a modest issue compared to how much I rely on it to aid me cook.
From whipped potatoes to buttercream icing, this mixer does all that I call for of it, and almost certainly much, significantly much more...I hope to be able to purchase some of the attachments for it soon. At about $50 less than the Artisan series, do not pass it up thinking that the extra 25 watts of power is the only way to go.

I implemented this product so much more than the Christmas holidays that I do not know what I
would have carried out without it. It is a work horse. Is regularly valuable and does
exactly what it is supposed to. It is really heavy so if your lugging it around
that is bothersome. But I take that to a flimsy mixer any day. Uncomplicated to clean
up and truly no down side that I have however to discover.
