I actually like this attachment and use it regularly. That said, I have some ideas:
For users-
1. Use the KitchenAid mixing bowl to catch the juice, and spot a large typical kitchen strainer across the bowl. This speeds points up a lot!
two. Rub some shortening on the aluminum shaft before inserting it into the brass sleeve. If you use your juicer a lot, this will drastically prolong its life.
For KitchenAid-
1. The plastic piece that inserts into the mixer should certainly be produced out of metal, as an alternative of plastic with a metal sleve. On mine the plastic is cracking away from the brass.
two. The aluminum shaft need to be brass or steel. As it is, the bearing surface is a smaller location of aluminum that even when lubricated, is showing lots of put on.

I will repeat what everybody else says about the included strainer not getting worth anything. It is smaller, painless to shed, ineffective, and so on.
Otherwise this is a marvelous attachment for juicing all types of citrus fruits.
A note on strategy. Many people today try to juice fruit by just pressing forward. This will miss a lot of juice. It is important immediately after pressing forward to give a little squeeze so the sides get all juiced as properly. Also, you will get much less messy if you hold the fruit half by the top rated instead of the bottom, as the bottom is exactly where the juice tends to come out.
A note on lemonade. The important is to mix the water and sugar together and boil them. This makes the sugar a super saturated remedy as an alternative of a suspension. The sugar does not settle. Add the lemon juice once the sugar solution (also named easy syrup) is cooled in the fridge.
