I believed it would not function well for the edges seemed too dull - It did perform for it created the prep time 1?16th of the time it ordinarily takes for creating scalloped potatoes and ham. With cheese it functions fine but with the ham you necessary to add the potatoes simultaneously to aid push it through! glad I got it!
