Consumer Evaluations

All those cooking shows made me decide to buy this. I have generally admired these kitchen-aid mixers... but under no circumstances thought I'd get THAT a lot use out of them. I watched a cooking show... exactly where they made chocolate mousse. That was the last straw.
Now I can not say how glad I am that I got this! My cookie dough is accomplished as rapid as I can measure out the ingredients! I was too lazy to mix the dough properly just before... so I rarely produced cookies. The initial week this was property I produced 3 batches of delicious cookies, an angel food cake, a meat loaf, mountians of whipped cream, and the chocolate mousse. Clean up is uncomplicated too. Plus this cool chrome-esque color looks amazing in my kitchen. Only now I'll have to join a fitness center.

I love KitchenAid mixer. I had the classic 4.five quarts ahead of and had a lot of entertaining with it. Fantastic for kneading, producing scones, and so on. So, when I saw the 5 quart model on sale, I jumped at the likelihood to purchase it. Exact same as before, but only bigger, right? Properly, it worked amazing until I realized that the dough was being left at the bottom of the bowl. So, I figured it's because of the height so I lowered it a bit. (One other tips: Use paddle attachement for the height measurement. Dough Hook will give you falst reading) So, here I go with lower height setting. I noticed that the leading part would twitch everytime it kneaded the dough. Right after making the dough, I located a ground up spot on the dough hook and scratch marks on the bowl. I had to replace the dough hook but thankfully, the scratch on the bowl was minor enough. So, as soon as once again, I am trying to knead one thing. I thought I heard some scratching noise once more, so I raised the height about a half turn. Next factor I know, I couldn't lock the head in for the reason that absolutely nothing was lining up any longer. So, here's my recommendation: Get KitchenAid for it's an awesome gadget to have. But... DO NOT TOUCH THE SETTING Once YOU Get IT. I put the paddle attachment and sorta got the 1/16", but it really is not the similar anymore... That is a shame, though, for such a good tool. I think I'll attempt to upgrade to the skilled series exactly where the setup is entirely distinct and hopefully will have superior luck.
